... Or what is the same, changing after a bogey season.
This was our second worse season (the worst was Season 44) with only 2 results. We started the season at Division 5 and many hopes to look higher (now we are at Division 8… crap. I will not say another word that would suit better, but you know which one is). However, is not our riders fault (in some points). To begin, our captain Miroslav Sievers got sick (mononucleosis) and of course the time of recovery and treatment influenced his performance through the season. Regardless, we had a good surprise during the season when scouting the Hire List, we found partially trained (AV 38) Beau Ryan , so we decided to take the risk and signed him. Still not maxed but we need some money to finish his TT skill, so in that part it was a cheap and crucial addition. Then we added Leonards Podnieks who made our only win of the season at Leopoldbahn GP , and he debuted in the National Latvian Team thanks to his regular performance.
In the negative side, our riders failed. Edgar Grandin , who had 4 injuries in the 5 weeks he was part of our team. Good thing is, he retires tomorrow, due to his long record with injuries. To his fellow national mate Eliot Lescure , he got fired due to lack of solidarity (among other things), our portuguese talent Camilo Cortês requested his transfer and manager decided to put him in the transfer market, waiting a good offer to release him. Wan Mohammed Yap retired a couple days ago, after spending 4 seasons with US Postal, working as Lead Out, now is going to join the doping business and supplies. Foma Chapayev was regularly in the news thanks to his poker skills than his cycling skills, so we are offering him to release him as well (there’s a post in the Transfer Forum, Cortês as well).
While looking some replacements for our captain, besides Ryan, we agreed to hire Niels Gravesen from Team Legends . The auction was… a bit blocked by a third team, which raised his starting value three times… so I think market has these things. Happily other deals were less problematic, for example we secured Sébastian Vandenburie from Flanders Fields . Also we will be hiring tomorrow Frederick Markussen from Moose Machines (after we found a rich man who paid 50k for the kidney, good business), both of them have a good aptitude for the cobblestones, so we are developing the philosophy of our squad just a little (back to cobbles again, our first ‘’cobbler’’ was Porfirio Garcilaso ).
We also added from free market Mikey McCain , younger brother of Pete McCain , Nikodem Hawryluk and Fredrik Rønningen . Our plan includes Sebastian Hull from our youth academy, but probably he will be our only In for the next season.
Now, a resume in numbers of our Season 51.

The goals set before beginning of the season, of course were missed as you could see. Our priority for Season 52 is to recover our competitive level to fight once again for the victories. So our goal for Season 52 will be to at least score 5 results (just a number, to be positive) and let’s say 3 or 4 wins. By the way, after been missed for about 5 days, Louis Davenport was found by a chef, outside a restaurant asking for food (well, he lost almost 80k playing poker, so I would have been in the same situation). Now he is safe (but broke) and his wife is speechless after hearing his experience (and what can we say about the house hypothec), but team is now back to a normal atmosphere.
Another goal is completing Beau Ryan training, and focus slowly and steadily with the others. So I guess this is all about Season 51 (finally this nightmare is OVER), so we expect that the sun will rise again (not using Loki’s words so no one will say I’m incurring in plagiarism, again) for the US Postal. I hope you had good seasons (there’s no denial, I think I was the worst among OCM teams) so well, I guess that is an achievement somehow, I called it, The Unkuckiest Of All. Be safe and don’t bet all your money or steal phrases ;)

I take every good advice man, I just don't feel well when I remember, just that :/
Hehe well take it as advice for the future ;)
Man, dont torture me please... I couldn't check those you are posting, despite I monitor transfer forum a lot or did i? The last one wasn't even a talent, the second i saw him, but i said its an alpine guy, that will cost way more than 120k so i did not bid. And i just tagged Johnson, don't really like him for what im looking
You could've stopped bidding :P
http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/forum/transfer/380437 better and younger, almost at the deadline
http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/forum/transfer/380073 cheaper younger and sidestats
http://www.cyclingsimulator.com/forum/transfer/373138 a while ago but a lot cheaper.
I know guys @WCT, i will not train the three at same time, thats suicide. @US, to began with the VG one at least is something, yes, as i said in the review, that's why a third team raised his price.
I guess it is quite a lot. But what one needs is patience on this type of situation. Might be a good plan to go one after the other, rather than all in parallel.
Good luck!
Isn't it a bit much to train 3 guys ( as a smaller team ). I know from experience it goes sloowww..
Other than that, the sprinter talent seems overpriced 120k for a 200+ 23 yo sprinter. By the time you have him ready he's 25 and by the time you have support for him some more he's 27 or so.
The cobblers are with VG and INC CB also expensive to train, yet not hugely talented f
Yeah, lets cross fingers, i need more than two hands lol
All the best in season 52.
